Pip Garner
Pip boasts three years of experience living in a
residential college, starting at Sancta Sophia College (University of Sydney)
in 2007. Within a few months of moving into Sancta she was elected to the House
Committee as Fresher Representative. The following year she held the position
of University of Sydney Intercollegiate Tennis Conveyor. In 2008 Pip also
represented Sancta at the National Student Leadership Forum in Canberra where
she gained invaluable leadership knowledge from outside of the college
environment. In 2009 Pip was elected Senior Student of Sancta Sophia
College. This same year she played an integral role in strategic planning for Sancta
as a member of the Strategy Committee and as the Student Representative on the
Sancta Sophia College Council. In addition to her work for her own college, in
2009 Pip was a Sponsorship Office on the Working Party for the 2009
National NAAUC conference at St Andrew’s College. Pip is a strong believer
in the value of student leadership and college integration, having begun
several initiatives within Sancta to further promote college spirit.
Shayne Herriott
Shayne
has been involved in a wide range of aspects of college life and has learnt a
lot along the way. He started as a first year at St John’s College (University
of Queensland) in 2006 and was involved in organising social events straight
away. In his second year he became a senior resident, as well as a member of
the social committee. In 2008 Shayne was elected as the President of the St
John’s College student club, as well as the UQ Student Union Colleges Officer.
Shayne believes strongly in the benefits of a strong community within a college
environment and has a strong interest in Inter College Councils.

Michael Douglas
After four years of heavy involvement in college life, Michael has helped Trinity (UWA) become a model college within Australia. Hi
s involvement at Trinity includes Treasurer in 2006, President in 2007 and 2008, co-founder and committee member of the UWA Inter-College Association (UWAICA) in 2007 and UWAICA President 2008. After attending NAAUC in 2005 and 2006 as a delegate, Michael was the West Australian State rep in 2007 and In 2008 Michael was elected as President of NAAUC as well as securing the bid to host the 40th Annual NAAUC Conference at Trinity (UWA). Michael was re-elected for a second term as NAAUC President for 2009 and his hands-on experience make him an invaluable resource for college student clubs.
