Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar offer regular flights from all major cities to Sydney. For those looking for a bargain keep an eye out for the specials offered by each of the airlines as soon as delegates are selected. The sooner you select the cheaper it will be! The airline’s websites, travel agent websites and your state paper are a good place to start.

Getting to St Andrew’s

To get from the airport to St Andrew’s, NAAUC shuttle busses will once again be running to and fro on the day of registration and possibly the evening before (depending on delegate times of arrival). It is important that when registering for the conference you specify the exact time of arrival and departure as well as your airline and flight number so that we can best organise the bus times. You may have a small wait if there are a few flights getting in at similar times.

Country-Link provide student fares to Sydney, that arrive at Central Station. To get to St Andrew’s from Central go to the bus depot outside the station and take the 420 (21, 22, 23 etc) -429 bus to Newtown and get off outside the Marlbrough Hotel. St Andrew’s is just down the road from there.

If you are the impatient sort or arrive outside of the NAAUC shuttle bus pick up times, then catch a taxi from the taxi rank directly outside the airport straight to St Andrew’s College, or catch a bus or train to Central Station, then a bus to Newtown . Taxis from the airport to St Andrews College will cost about $25 to $30. Tell the driver to take you to 19 Carillion Ave, Newtown, corner of Carillion Ave and Missendon Road. If the driver is struggling say its near RPA!

For those wishing to drive to the conference, St Andrew’s have two car parks, one on Misendon Road and another off Carillion Ave. Its best to contact us before you drive to Sydney so we can know for sure that you have a car park secured on arrival.
