NAAUC is seeking two motivated individuals to join the 2019 Executive to organise the 51st NAAUC National Conference in the summer of 2019. All applications are welcome, however applicants from Victoria will have preference, as this is where the conference will be held. The two roles are ideally split into 1 conference logistic director, and 1 conference social director.

Ideal qualities of a successful candidate:

  • Excellent verbal, written and technological communication skills

  • Capable of supervising and ensuring deadlines are met

  • Work effectively in a team setting

  • Excellent event planning ability

  • Strong leadership experience

  • Passion for student wellbeing and development of tertiary residential industry

  • Desire to champion equality within residential communities

  • Ability to work autonomously

Expectations of the role are:

  • Organise a 7-day National Conference

  • Work collaboratively with Conference Director counterpart

  • Hire and manage a team of Working Party members

  • Regularly attend scheduled Executive meetings via video call

  • Maintain relationships with various stakeholders in the operation of National Conference

  • Financial responsibility and ability to maintain budgetary controls

  • Further the development of the tertiary residential industry
