Photography and Video Consent Form

I give THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGES INC. (“NAAUC”) and its representatives the irrevocable right to use my name/photograph/image/audio recording/video recording and likeness in all forms and manner (“My Image”) for the purposes of advertising, media publicity, publication, general display or for any other purposes in whole or in part, including but not limited to publication on Internet web sites, broadcasts and any other publications as released to or by NAAUC.

I waive any interest that I may have in the copyright to My Image now or at any future time and acknowledge that I am not entitled, nor shall in the future be entitled, to receive any payment or consideration in respect of it and agree to make no claim against NAAUC for any payments for the Publication of My Image.

I understand NAAUC cannot control unauthorised use of My Image by persons not associated with NAAUC upon the Publication of My Image. I forever waive any right to inspect or approve any Publication of My Image by NAAUC. I release and indemnify NAAUC from any loss, damage, costs, expense, or claim (including consequential loss) connected with the Publication of My Image, including action for defamation, libelous material, breach of privacy, or copyright.

 

 

 

NAAUC Conference Delegate Conditions

NAAUC Delegates of the annual National Conference must be aged 18 years or older as of the starting date of Conference for that year.   

Delegates will be held responsible for any damages to private property during the Conference and are directly liable for costs incurred. 

Delegate fee does not include transportation costs to and from the Conference. 

Alcohol consumption on site, outside of licensed events, is prohibited. If this is not adhered to, NAAUC and their accommodation providers have the right to revoke your place at the Conference. 

 

 

NAAUC Equity Policy

 

National Association of Australian University Colleges Incorporated. When delegates attend the Conference, they can be confident that they will be walking into a safe, inclusive and friendly environment. To that end we have created an Equity Policy to be administered by the Management Committee during the Conference. 

This policy applies without exception to all persons attending any part of the Conference, whether it is in the capacity of a delegate, Management Committee Member, staff member, guest or any other capacity. 

The Management Committee are committed to a policy of equal opportunity in all areas of college life. The Management Committee accept that it is their responsibility to promote an environment free from discrimination and to ensure that a principal of merit is able to operate free from regard to irrelevant criteria. 

Discriminatory conduct or irrelevant criteria may include but are not limited to sex, marital status, pregnancy, race, age, religion, sexual preference, political beliefs, impairment, family responsibility and family status. These criteria are not intended to be exhaustive and will include any conduct to which a person indicates they are uncomfortable with or which the Management Committee believe to be inappropriate. 

People are to be treated fairly as individuals with rights and responsibilities that are to be respected. No person is to be unfairly discriminated against, abused or exploited. The Management Committee aim to promote a just environment whereby all members are able to access any opportunities they may wish and to facilitate full participation in college community.

NAAUC Social Media Policy

 

This policy, without exception, applies to all persons who use and interact with our official social media pages. This includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Smart Phone Applications and YouTube which are created and operated by the Management Committee. This policy applies to all, whether it is in the capacity as a member, delegate of our conference, Management Committee member, alumni or any member of the public.

The Management Committee are committed to a social media policy that is inclusive, informative and respectful of the organisation, its members and university colleges and halls of residents  within Australia. The Management Committee accept that it is their responsibility to promote an environment free from discrimination and to ensure that a principal of merit operates to provide relevant criteria; as consistent with our Equity Policy.

Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to, discrimination of any kind, defamation of an individual, group or organisation, inappropriate content that may cause distress and links to pages and discussions that do not fit the mission and purpose of NAAUC Inc. These conducts are not intended to be exhaustive and will include any conduct which a person indicates they are uncomfortable with, or which the Management Committee believe to be inappropriate.

NAAUC Privacy of Information Policy

Use of Information

We will restrict the use of your personal information to:

  • Disseminating your information (including contact details and personal details) with your consent to members of the Association and related parties.

Information Security

  • We will ensure that your personal information is kept secure and confidential.

  • Only committee members and employees of the Association, and those who perform services on the Association’s behalf and are authorised to handle your information, will have access to your personal information.

  • We will not retain any of your information for any longer than it is required by us, except to fulfil our legal obligations.

Your Access to Your Information

  • We will endeavour to keep your personal information accurate, complete and up to date. You can access the personal information we hold about you and request corrections.

  • This right is subject to some exceptions. For example, you may not obtain access to information relating to existing or anticipated legal proceedings.
