Cate is a Brisbane-based creative and past student leader with extensive residential college experience at Grace College, The University of Queensland. During her time in residence, she served as the Inter-College Council (ICC) Representative in her second year and as Vice President in her third year, working closely with college leadership, student committees, and external stakeholders to deliver large-scale events, manage student engagement initiatives, and represent resident voices at an inter-college and institutional level.
As Creative Director for NAAUC, she wants to bring a strong understanding of the residential college sector alongside a passion for strategic storytelling, visual identity, and community-driven design. She is particularly interested in how creative direction can strengthen national connection between colleges, elevate student leadership, and communicate the value of residential life through accessible, engaging, and cohesive media.
The Creative Director is responsible for the creation of NAAUC’s publications, media content, and merchandise. The Creative Director manages all of NAAUC’s graphic design needs, and ensures that the work of all work team members is presented in a professional and uniform way, reflecting the quality and professionalism of the Association. The Creative Director supports NAAUC’s social media and engagement efforts as the leader of the NAAUC Media Subcommittee.
