In 2026 Nate Keysers will be taking on the position as Tasmania's State Representative. Joining the NAAUC team Nate is excited to work in a space that pushes change across residential colleges in order to make the living experience the best for everyone. Originally coming from the outer Melbourne suburb of Berwick, Nate moved to Tasmania at the start of 2025 to pursue a Bachelor of Science majoring in both Zoology and Ecology at the University of Tasmania. Whilst completing these studies he has lived at Jane Franklin Hall, where he is currently serving as Vice-President of the Student Club, this role is mainly focusing on the student engagement and inclusion across the college in order to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated. This year Nate is especially excited to work across the State to connect and break down dividing barriers across the colleges, he is also excited to work alongside a like minded team at NAAUC!
NAAUC’s State Representatives are responsible for student engagement within their state or territory, and are expected to coordinate engagement activities throughout the year. Under the leadership of the Vice President (Engagement), the State Representatives will build and maintain relationships with colleges and university residences, and deliver NAAUC’s offerings.
