Sharon is the 2026 Vice President of Engagement, elected after her term as the Victorian State Representative in 2025. A passionate and dedicated leader, she is excited to invest in and develop the residential experience that has enriched her life. While studying Mechanical Engineering at RMIT since 2023, she loved her 3 years at St Hilda’s College, serving as the Arts & Culture Director in 2024, then as a President and Residential Advisor in 2025 since. During this time, she strived to foster a supportive community of growth and belonging where people feel safe to discover and celebrate who they are. She is passionate about women’s health and mental health, particularly around lowering stigma and encouraging open communication about taboo topics. She has a strong appetite for change, firmly believing that it is on each and every individual to take the initiative to improve their community. Sharon hopes to share this passion with her NAAUC team and consequently, the incredible student leaders of this nation.
The Vice President (Engagement) is the member of the NAAUC team responsible for NAAUC’s outreach and engagement programs. The Vice President (Engagement) is tasked with ensuring high quality programs and offerings geared towards students living on campus. The Vice President (Engagement) develops and implements strategies connected to NAAUC’s role in supporting and advocating for students in University Colleges. While this includes many responsibilities, the Vice President (Engagement) is primarily charged with leading the NAAUC State Representative Team, NAAUC’s consulting program, and management of NAAUC’s social media presence.
