Gabby is the Conference Director for 2024. Gabby has a creative background and a strong passion for events. While completing her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts for the duration of three years, Gabby resided at Sancta Sophia College within The University of Sydney, where she found her passion for the holistic college experience, strengthening inter-collegiate relationships between residences, and advocating for the benefits of residential communities. In her time at Sancta, Gabby held the position of Residential Assistant for 2 years, Senior Representative for one and Social Secretary for one. Gabby is currently working as the Communications and Events Coordinator at Meetings & Events Australia, and is an aspiring events professional. For this years conference Gabby aims to create an environment of creativity, practicality and team work, with the hope of delegates leaving prepared and motivated for their experience in leadership.
The Conference Director is responsible for overseeing the planning and creation of our week long NAAUC National Conference, and tasked with delivering a high quality event. This involves many different tasks, but largely focuses on the organisation of the logistical elements of the National Conference, the development and execution of the social program in conjunction with several different NAAUC team members, liaison with the Host Residence, and the selection and organisation of National Conference guest speakers.
