As a member of the NAAUC team, you have the chance to contribute to the evolution of colleges and university residences across the country. The NAAUC team is a collection of the most passionate, energetic, and exciting individuals to live on campus, and we want you to join our ranks!

2024 Team Applications have been extended till 18/12/23

Applicants for positions on the 2024 NAAUC Team must:

  • Write a cover letter addressing your strengths as they relate to the position description. Outline what skills and attributes you would bring to the role, and what you would want to achieve during your time as a NAAUC team member.

  • Please include two referees, one professional and one personal, including their name, contact information and their relation to yourself.

  • Submit your application including CV and cover letter via email to employment@naauc.edu.au

NB: Applicants for the position of Creative Director must also submit a portfolio containing no more than five pieces of work.

Applicants who believe they would be suitable for multiple positions on the team are encouraged to submit multiple, separate applications. Please include in your application email the preferences for the roles you are applying for. This will not negatively affect the application process.

  • Standout applications will be invited to sit an interview following the submission of their application.

Please note applicants will be asked to discuss their availability for the NAAUC Team Changeover Weekend in late January 2024, and the NAAUC National Conference in late November 2024

Executive Positions Appointed By Application

The Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the organisation and is responsible for all financial operations of the organisation. The Treasurer is responsible for accurate financial reporting and for ensuring prudence in relation to financial operations.

The Academic Director is the member of the NAAUC team responsible for NAAUC’s academic program, an educational resources and seminar catalogue which covers issues relevant to student leadership, issues facing young leaders today, and college life. The Academic Director is tasked with developing the catalogue of topics, and managing the members of the NAAUC Team in the creation of academic materials. The Academic Director is responsible for ensuring the academic content is consistently high quality, and updated annually to suit the organisation’s goals.

The Creative Director is responsible for the creation of NAAUC’s publications, media content, and merchandise. The Creative Director manages all of NAAUC’s graphic design needs, and ensures NAAUC’s publications are presented well and professionally. The Creative Director also supports NAAUC’s social media and engagement efforts.

Conference Director

The Conference Director is responsible for overseeing the planning and creation of our week-long NAAUC National Conference. Under this responsibility, the Conference Director will manage both the logistical elements of the Conference, and the conceptualisation and execution of the social program. This role is for anyone who loves working with people, and is committed to planning and executing stellar social events.

State Representatives

NAAUC’s State Representatives are responsible for student engagement within their state or territory, and are expected to coordinate engagement activities throughout the year. Under the leadership of the Vice President (Engagement), the State Representatives will build and maintain relationships with colleges and university residences, and deliver NAAUC’s offerings. State Representatives are responsible for advertising and promoting NAAUC’s offerings to student leaders, and ensuring effective communication channels with various college and residence students are maintained. State Representatives will deliver a series of events each year, aimed at supporting student leaders in their state or territory.

NAAUC is seeking to appoint a State Representative from each state and territory.

Working Party

NAAUC’s Working Party is responsible for assisting in the execution of NAAUC’s critical programs, namely National Conference, and the Academic Program. The Working Party is also tasked with assisting the NAAUC to complete growth projects and deliver offerings where required and where possible. Under the leadership of the Vice President (Development), the Working Party will work collectively on new initiatives. The Working Party will consist of a series of Portfolio Officers, and some General Officers.

NAAUC is seeking to appoint a team of nine Working Party Members.
