Academic Director

Ruby Gilroy

Ruby is the 2024 NAAUC Academic Director. Her college experience began in 2021 at St Thomas More College, where she was elected as Publications Representative in 2022, and was a Residential Advisor in 2023. Additionally, she was a NAAUC Working Party Member in 2023. She is currently undertaking her Honours year of a Bachelor of Advanced Biomedical Science, researching mild traumatic brain injury at the Perron Institute and Curtin University. Ruby aims to use her critical thinking skills to conduct research relating to the college experience, and to provide delegates and NAAUC members with an expansive academic program that meets the professional standards of university academia.

The Academic Director is the member of the NAAUC team responsible for NAAUC’s academic program, an educational resources and seminar catalogue which covers issues relevant to student leadership, issues facing young leaders today, and college life. The Academic Director is tasked with developing the catalogue of topics, and managing the members of the NAAUC Team in the creation of academic materials. The Academic Director is responsible for ensuring the academic content is consistently high quality, and updated annually to suit the organisation’s goals.
